Practical Information

The workshop will take place at the Hotel Residence Cala Corvino (Phone +39 0804107629, +39 080.9306555, Fax +39 080.9306542) located on the Apulian Coast, 35 km south from Bari, 4 km before Monopoli.

• HOTEL RESERVATIONS The Cala Corvino Hotel offers special prices for participants (Single Room 64 Euro, Single occupancy in double room 74 Euro, Double occupancy in double room 54 Euro each. This prices include full board). For reservations please write to Silvia Cingolani s.cingolani@poliba.it indicating arrival and departure dates and type of occupancy required.

• ARRIVAL BY PLANE The nearest airport is Bari-Palese. It has frequent connections with Rome and Milan.

From Bari-Palese Airport take a shuttle or a taxi to the Bari Railway Station. Shuttles usually live the airport about 30 minutes after the arrival of each flight and tickets cost about 5 €, taxi coasts about 25 Euro (phone 080 54 43333). From there take a train to Monopoli Railway Station.

The hotel has a shuttle service from Bari-Palese Airport and from Monopoli Railway Station. Booking details are given below.

• ARRIVAL BY TRAIN From Bari Railway Station there are several trains to Monopoli Railway Station, for timetables see Trenitalia.

From Monopoli Railway Station you may use the shuttle service (see below) or, alternatively, you can take a taxi near the station (phone 080 74 8060). The price of a taxi is about 10 Euro.

• ARRIVAL BY CAR Take Highway A 14 towards Bari, take Exit Bari Nord and continue on the freeway ss16 Bari – Brindisi for about 40 km. Exit at Monopoli Nord.

• SHUTTLE SERVICE The Cala Corvino hotel has a shuttle service. From Bari-Palese Airport prices are 120 Euro for one person, 75 Euro each for two, 55 Euro each for three, and 45 Euro each for four. These prices include both ways, from and to the airport. From Monopoli Railway Station the price is 5 Euro per person, one way. Reservations are required, please contact the hotel for reservations.
