    Last semester (Fall 2015), I taught Complex Analysis II. Last summer, I participated in a great project in Mexico.

    Projective Geometry: the geometry behind algebraic equations

    Welcome to the webpage of the club on
    projective geometry. Our goal in this
    club is to introduce/discover an very
    important invariant of an algebraic
    curve (arithmetic genus), and analyze
    its behaviour under linear projections.

    In the same fashion that a photograph is a
    projection of an object in three dimensional
    space onto a piece of paper (2D), if we
    project curves or surfaces, that lie in higher
    dimensional spaces, into three dimensional space;
    what are the objects we will see?

    As we explore the geometry we will strongly
    rely on computer-assisted computations.
    This is a novelty of our club in contrast
    with traditional presentations of this subject.
