The Rees algebra associated to a graph
In this talk we will introduce the Rees algebra associated to a graph and
we will study the normality, the canonical module, the a-invariant and the
type of this algebra, using polyhedral geometry and linear programming
techniques. Also we will introduce the Rees algebra associated to a hypergraph
or clutter and we will present some of their combinatorial connections. In
particular we will present a conjecture of Conforti and Cournejouls about
clutters with the packing property and its equivalent formulation in terms of
the normality of Rees algebra's.
