# Nonexistence results for elliptic equations with gradient terms

We consider the elliptic problem  $$-\Delta u+|\nabla u|^q=\lambda f(u)$$ in $$\mathbb{R}^N\setminus B(0,R_0)$$, where $$N\geq 2$$, $$q>1$$, $$f\in C^1(0,+\infty)$$ is nondecreasing and positive and $$\lambda > 0$$ is a parameter. Under suitable assumptions on $$f$$ near zero or infinity, we obtain some nonexistence results for positive supersolutions, depending on the relative values of $$q$$ and $$N$$, and on the parameter $$\lambda$$.
