The endomorphism algebra of a generator of a self-injective algebra is called a Morita algebra over the self-injective algebra. In 1958 Morita gave a ring theoretical characterization for an algebra A to be a Morita algebra, and in 2013 a new characterization was given by Kerner and me, where the canonical A-bimodule Hom(D(A),A) plays a crucial role. In this talk I will introduce some properties of the bimodules characterizing Morita algebras.
